Run for Charity
We hope to not only host the tastiest and fastest 5k out there, but also one that helps our community and continues to improve it every day. That's why we are partnering with charities in the community to give back.
If you would like to run on behalf of a charity, we will donate 10% of your race registration to that charity. You can view our current community partners below. To register under a charity click "Charity Team" and then "Join Charity" on the registration site. Finally, type the organizations name in the text box.
Please explore all the amazing groups below to learn more about their work. Reach out to a specific group to learn how you can run for their causes.
We will continue to add partners as groups sign up.
Poppies Angels Co
Poppies Angels Co started in 2016 as a way to continue the charitable spirit that was Poppie. Poppie would give you the shirt off his back in order to help his fellow neighbor. He would often be heard saying that "It's not my place to judge if someone is in need. It's my job to help my neighbor."
That is the mission of Poppies Angels Co. We strive to leave the world a better place than we found it. Since our creation we have: Hosted a Christmas party for our veterans, donated school supplies to a low income school, paid off school lunch debt at an elementary school, built a wheelchair ramp for a disabled family, and adopted families for the holidays.
Shattering the silence on mental health, the stigma of suicide and teen risky behavior. Instilling hope and enhancing the quality of life to our grieving families.

Littleton Free Pantry
The Little Free Pantry in Littleton Colorado is a small neighborhood pantry that is open 24/7 for everyone, no questions asked. It is located outside of the Doctors Care Building at 609 W Littleton Blvd.
It was inspired by the original Little Free Pantry in Arkansas and created by the Cheer team at Heritage High School. Our motto is "Take what you need and leave what you can". The concept is simple, we are feeding people that don’t have enough and allowing neighbors to help neighbors. Donations are welcome 24/7.

Everyday in Colorado 14 children enter foster care. Over 2/3 of Colorado’s foster parents quit within the first 2 years due to a lack of resources and services. Foster Source is changing that.
Our training classes and support groups are free and always include free childcare. These educational opportunities are all taught from a trauma-informed approach, giving foster parents necessary skills to better parent children from traumatic backgrounds. When we pour services into foster parents, they can foster better, and they can foster longer. Better foster parents can help children begin to heal sooner. 92% of our foster families report they feel more supported and are confident they will continue to foster longer thanks to our services.
It is the mission of RECESS Inc. to bridge the gap between classroom teachers, who desperately need appreciation, and the people who truly want to appreciate them. Through events, school functions, and personal finance assistance programs we are dedicated to making connections that benefit teachers, students and the community as a whole.
We are moms trying to make a difference in our community. We believe nobody is without struggle, but if we are able to help one another we certainly should. All projects are funded solely through sponsorships, T-Shirt sales, Facebook donations, and charitable opportunities. We have no salaries, so ALL monies donated go to projects we are working on. Some recent projects include diaper bags for moms in need, and backpacks for underprivileged students, foster families, cancer patients, and victim service advocates.
Melina Wachter Memorial Foundation
The Melina Wachter Memorial Foundation was founded in memory of Melina Wachter. Melina was a young girl who suffered from cancer and unfortunately passed away.
The Melina Wachter Memorial Foundation was founded to keep Melina's memories alive by supporting local Colorado families who are also suffering with childhood cancer. In 2018, we were able to give $44,000 from our Annual Golf Tournament and fundraising efforts to help over 70 families in need. You can contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org!
The Right Step
The Right Step, Inc. is a PATH Intl. Premier Accredited therapeutic riding center in Littleton with the mission of improving the lives of people with disabilities through the healing power of horses. In our therapeutic riding program, certified instructors teach riding skills and horsemanship in an adaptive manner to meet the individual needs of our clients of all ages.
Our ground based program (non-riding) offers participants a chance to experience horses in order to learn more about horses and learn more about themselves in the process. We rely on volunteers to help with everything from horse care to lesson assistance to administrative work. We invite you to come out to the barn. Experience a little bit of country right in town!
